Adopt an Angel from Salvation Army for Christmas

Local News

If you’re looking to help children in need this holiday season, the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program still has some angels left. You can find Angel Trees in several locations across the valley including at Valley View Mall, Tanglewood Mall, Golden Corral by Towne Square, and Lewis Gale Hospital.

About 2,500 angels are up for adoption. “You’re not obligated to purchase all the items that are on the ticket,” said Captain Monica Seiler from the Salvation Army. The children have a couple of gifts that they want, and then we also put a couple of child needs, so, underwear, socks, hats, gloves, those kinds of things. It’s up to the donor what they purchase for the children. We know people have different abilities to give and we just appreciate the idea of the community supporting some body else in the community.” The gifts are due back at the Salvation Army warehouse in Salem by Saturday, December 17th by 4pm.
