$6,000 reward offered in recent Danville burglary

A reward is being offered in connection to a recent burglary in Danville.  

It happened at Deluxe Pawn, which is a Federal Firearms Licensee in the city.  

The ATF is offering a reward in the amount of 2,500 dollars which will be matched by NSSF and further supported by Crime Stoppers with a 1,000 dollar reward for a total reward of $6,000.00.

The Danville Police Department is currently investigating a recent early morning burglary of a local business that resulted in the theft of firearms. Additionally, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) the Danville Police Department and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, have announced reward support for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the theft of firearms from Deluxe Pawn, a Federal Firearms Licensee in Danville Virginia. Danville Crime Stoppers also offers up to $1000.00 dollars for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

The ATF is offering a reward in the amount of $2,500.00 which will be matched by NSSF and further supported by Crime Stoppers with a $1,000.00 reward for a total reward of $6,000.00.

The reward is part of a larger national cooperative initiative between NSSF and ATF in which NSSF matches ATF rewards in cases involving theft of firearms from federally licensed firearm retailers. The ATF works closely with members of the firearms industry to curb the criminal acquisition and misuse of firearms.
