SALEM, Va. (WFXR) — Salem-Roanoke County’s 15th Annual Gingerbread Festival is right around the corner.
The gingerbread houses will be on display starting Tuesday, Dec. 1.
WFXR News got a sneak peek at some of the houses, from the traditional gingerbread house to a nativity scene and even a gingerbread Indiana Jones.
“2020 has been a difficult year, to say the least, and with this, we can have a little bit of normalcy come back to the world, to Salem-Roanoke, and to continue and let this tradition go on again,” said Alex Burke, Assistant Director at the Salem Museum.
The festival will also include a socially distanced visit with Santa and some other surprises.
Everything kicks off Saturday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m. For more information about this festival, click here.
