(WFXR) — Virginia motorists should prepare for slow-moving traffic from Danville to Lynchburg for the next few days because the “100 Mile Yard Sale” is underway on Route 29.

From Thursday, May 5 through Sunday, May 8, you’ll be able to find local and out-of-state vendors lined up along Route 29.

This event typically draws thousands of people to check out crafts, antiques, baked goods, and countless other items.

However, this four-day yard sale also tends to cause heavier traffic on Route 29, so motorists are urged to use caution and, in the words of Gretna Fire and Rescue, “watch out for folks stopping on a dime to spend a dime!”
