KFC left in ruins after explosion


EDEN, NC (WGHP) — Fox News 8 is reporting that a North Carolina KFC exploded Thursday morning.

The explosion happened overnight in Eden.

An employee told police that he smelled gas when he was closing down for the night.

The manager attempted to turn off the gas nozzle and call for help, but it was too late.

According to police, the blast left almost all neighboring businesses damaged and could be felt two miles away.

No injuries were reported in the explosion. The exact cause has not been released.
