Home suffers heat and smoke damage after fire


DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — A home has suffered damage in one bedroom after catching fire early Thursday afternoon.

Danville Fire crews were called to 305 Plum Street around 12:30 p.m. and found the one story home with moderate smoke escaping.

Crews had the fire under control at approximately 12:54 p.m., the home suffered heat and smoke damage. The bedroom experienced heavy fire and water damage.

The cause of the fire, and estimated damages, has not been determined.

The occupants were not inside the home at the time of the fire.
