(WFXR) — In honor of May being National Mental Health Awareness Month, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is encouraging vets to take care of their mental health.

The department highlights available resources and shares stories from other veterans.

Dr. Christopher Loftis, national director of the VA and the Department of Defense Mental Health Collaboration, joined WFXR News’ “Good Day Virginia” to talk about the “Veterans Know” Campaign.
