(WFXR) – The COVID-19 pandemic has created even more risk and uncertainty for vulnerable Virginians.

Virginia’s free and charitable clinics have continued to operate during the ongoing pandemic, serving more than 74,000 Virginians in 2020.

This year, more than three of four clinics (76 percent) are seeing a spike in demand.

Helen Ferguson of the G. Wayne Fralin Free Clinic in Roanoke joined WFXR News’ Amanda Kenney to discuss the local impacts.
