WATCH LIVE: Director of Mount Rogers Health District to testify before Congress on COVID-19 vaccine confidence

WASHINGTON (WFXR) — On Wednesday morning, Dr. Karen Shelton, director of the Mount Rogers Health District, is set to testify before Congress at a hearing, which is titled “A Shot at Normalcy: Building COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence.”

Dr. Shelton will present her testimony at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 26 before the House Energy and Commerce Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee

According to health officials, Dr. Shelton will discuss the role of local health departments in the pandemic response, with a focus on vaccine education and access.
