CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The director of the New River Health District, Dr. Noelle Bissell will share the latest information about the COVID-19 pandemic and local vaccination efforts during an online briefing Monday afternoon.
This Zoom briefing comes after the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) reported 3,228 new COVID-19 cases, 135 new hospitalizations, and 77 new virus-related deaths between Friday, Oct. 29 and Monday, Nov. 1.
The VDH says 97 of those new cases, two of those new hospitalizations, and two of those new deaths are from the following localities in the New River Health District:
- Floyd County: 12 new cases
- Giles County: Six new cases
- Montgomery County: 44 new cases, one new hospitalization, and one new death
- Pulaski County: 22 new cases and one new hospitalization
- Radford: 13 new cases and one new death
