Vinton Municipal Building closed to walk-ins until further notice amid pandemic

VINTON, Va. (WFXR) — Starting Tuesday, walk-in customers will no longer be allowed to enter the Vinton Municipal Building in order to curb the potential spread of the coronavirus.

Customers are encouraged to conduct their business either over the phone, email, or online in order to protect the health of the community and employees.

However, the Vinton Treasurer’s Office drive-thru window will be open for financial transactions from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to town officials.

Meanwhile, if your business needs to be conducted in-person, contact the appropriate department to set up an appointment:

  • Town Manager and Clerk: (540) 983-0607
  • Treasurer’s Office: (540) 983-0608
