(WFXR) — Sovah Health has updated its bi-weekly status on COVID-19 cases at both of its hospital campuses.
As of Wednesday, Jan. 20, Sovah Health has 75 patients across both their Martinsville and Danville campuses. Specifically, there are 46 cases at their Danville hospital and 29 at their Martinsville hospital who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are being treated, an increase in Sovah Health’s last update from Jan. 6.
Officials continue to urge community members to follow the guidelines as issued by the CDC which includes wearing a mask, practicing social distancing, and washing hands frequently.
Sovah Health officials say they continue to have adequate capacity to meet patient needs, including in their critical care and intensive care units.
