AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — In a notice to parents and the community, Amherst County Public Schools has confirmed six new cases of COVID-19 at several schools.
According to a district representative’s statement from Monday, Jan. 25, one new case has been confirmed at Amherst Elementary School, one new case at Amherst Middle School, three new cases at Amherst County High School, and one individual with Amherst County Public Schools Administration Office.
All schools with new cases will remain open at the current time.
No guidance has been given as to whether or not any of these cases involves students.
