SALEM, Va. (WFXR) — Are you looking for some socially-distanced Halloween fun for your little trick-or-treaters on Tuesday evening? The Salem Civic Center might have the answer for you.

From 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, the Salem Civic Center is set to hold a free trunk-or-treat event — drive-thru style — in the parking lot.

All participants in this trunk-or-treat event — which is hosted by the Salem Family YMCA, the Salem Civic Center, the YMCA of Virginia’s Blue Ridge, and Salem Parks and Recreation — are required to wear a face covering and gloves when distributing candy to children, according to the Facebook event description.

At the end of the event, your car will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite trunk. This is a FREE event open to the community!

Companies and organizations interested in providing a decorated trunk are asked to fill out this online form.

Organizers say the top four trunks at the event will win the prizes listed below:

  • 1st Place: Nintendo Switch and $100 Visa gift card
  • 2nd Place: Apple Airpods and $100 Visa gift card
  • 3rd Place: One year Disney+ subscription and $100 Visa gift card
  • 4th Place: $50 Visa gift card
