Popular Smith Mountain Lake restaurant has new dine-in policy based on vaccination status

Coronavirus

HUDDLESTON, Va. (WFXR) — Owners of The Landing Restaurant at Smith Mountain Lake are implementing a new dine-in policy for all of their restaurants.

The owners stated they will require all guests over 12 years old to show proof of being fully vaccinated. This decision comes as the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) reports rises in cases across the Commonwealth.

The owners posted the announcement on their Facebook page on Wednesday, Aug. 25.

The Facebook post explained the move for the new requirement.

Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our team members, our guests, and each and every member of our community. To keep all of us safe, we have implementing new health and safety protocols that go above and beyond our already strict sanitation standards.

Tiffany Silva, Owner and General Manager

Before dining, proof of vaccination can be validated with your physical COVID-19 vaccine card, VDH record, or a photo of your vaccination card. This policy applies to all their locations and is effective immediately.
