Petition to be sent to Gov. Northam asking to clarify outdoor graduation guidance, Northam announces plans to update Executive Order soon

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia Tech parents have organized a petition asking Gov. Ralph Northam to update his Executive Order and clarify guidance for outdoor commencement exercises for the graduating class of 2021.

As many high school and college seniors are just weeks away from graduating, many are wondering when and even if normal graduation will take place in the spring.

With that in mind, Virginia Tech parents have started a petition to be sent to Northam, which can be found by clicking here.

According to WFXR News’ Jackie DeFusco, Northam plans to update his Executive Order soon, relating to graduation and allowing more people to attend.

While no other details about this have been formally released, Northam says that more details will be forthcoming.
