CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — While the New River Health District still plans to hold its coronavirus vaccination clinic on Friday, inclement weather concerns have postponed the clinic’s opening time.

The health district says the vaccination clinic will be open from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday. Feb. 19. If you had an appointment scheduled between 9 a.m. and noon, you are asked to arrive three hours later than your original appointment time.

For example, if you were supposed to arrive at 11 a.m., arrive at 2 p.m. instead, but make sure to bring your identification.

This applies to people who were originally scheduled to receive their vaccine on either Friday or on Thursday, Feb. 18.

If you have a scheduled appointment and cannot make it to the clinic on Friday, health officials say they will work you in next week between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

If you are planning to receive your second dose of the vaccine, you are asked to bring your vaccination card.
