Grant applications becoming available for food service owners rebounding from COVID-19 pandemic

(WFXR) — Restaurant owners looking to recover financially from the coronavirus pandemic have a major new resource to turn to for help.

Pre-registration for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund starts Friday, April 30 at 9 a.m., but the application portal does not open until noon on Monday, May 3.

According to officials, $28.6 billion is available from the Small Business Administration to help workers in food service.

Owners of food carts, food trucks, bars, bakeries, wineries, breweries, inns, and more can also apply for grants.
