AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Amherst County Public Schools has confirmed the following schools have COVID-19-positive cases within the district.
- Madison Heights Elementary School
- Temperance Elementary School
- Amelon Elementary School
- Amherst Elementary School
As of Monday, Nov. 30, all schools will remain open at this time.
Additionally, three individuals with the Amherst County Transportation Department have also tested positive for COVID-19.
Officials with Amherst County Public Schools say that these cases are not related to one another and are the result of community spread.
