COVID-19 case reported at Amherst County High School, fourth confirmed in the school district

AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A case of coronavirus has been reported at Amherst County High School.

A statement sent to WFXR News on Wednesday, Sept. 30, says the individual did not have direct contact with students and Amherst County High School would remain open. The statement also said it does not appear the individual caught coronavirus through the school system.

This is the fourth case of coronavirus in Amherst County Public Schools. Previous cases were reported from Amherst County High School on Sept. 15, Sept. 23, and Sept. 27.
