Cornerstone Learning Center in Campbell County reports new COVID-19 case

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Campbell County Public Schools announced Tuesday morning that a person from Cornerstone Learning Center has tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to a statement from Campbell County Public Schools, officials learned of a “COVID-19 positive individual” at Cornerstone Learning Center on Monday, Oct. 12.

The school district says that individual has been instructed to isolated. In addition, all close contacts associated with this person have been informed to start their quarantine period, officials say.

“Campbell County Schools will continue to implement strategies to mitigate the spread of Covid-19,” said Denton Sisk, Director of Student Support Services with Campbell County Public Schools. “The health and wellbeing of our students, faculty, and community are our primary concern.”
