Citizens encouraged to vote absentee in May elections

RICHMOND, Va. (WFXR) – The Virginia Department of Elections is encouraging voters to cast ballots absentee in the local upcoming May elections.

According to officials, voters may choose reason 2-A “Disability or Illness” for absentee voting due to COVID-19.

If you decide to vote absentee, you are urged to do so as soon as possible so your ballots can be returned by mail and be received by the May 5th elections.
