Botetourt County Public Schools unveils interactive COVID-19 dashboard

Coronavirus

BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — In light of the spike in positive coronavirus cases in Botetourt County, a few changes have been made to the school district’s website, including the addition of an interactive COVID-19 dashboard.

According to an update from Botetourt County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jonathan Russ on Wednesday, Nov. 4, one of these changes involves renaming the “Return to School” site as “COVID information,” which will feature a dashboard with historical data about the school district’s coronavirus cases.

Botetourt County Public Schools’ new coronavirus dashboard will be updated at the end of each week and allows you to view the total number of cases by term, by school, and by week.

In addition, Dr. Russ says links for “COVID-19 in Virginia,” “School Metrics,” and “Outbreaks” will be featured below the dashboard and provide up-to-date coronavirus information from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH).
