Bedford County Schools no longer accommodating requests for daily changes in bus transportation for students

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Bedford County Schools has released a statement about requests from parents regarding daily changes with bus transportation for students, saying they can no longer accommodate those requests, citing an increase in COVID-19 cases in its schools.

“Beginning on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, Bedford County Public Schools can no longer accommodate requests for daily changes with bus transportation. Students will only be permitted to ride their assigned bus or must be transported by private car. Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in schools, we must maintain assigned bus seats and carefully group students to assist with contact tracing investigations. We appreciate your understanding and support as we work together to maintain a safe environment for everyone.”
