DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) — A number of Pittsylvania County and Danville community members have a chance to receive a free coronavirus vaccine on Saturday at Averett University, but only if they register as soon as possible.
Pittsylvania County officials say the free vaccine clinic is set to take part from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 at Averett University’s North Campus as part of the Pittsylvania-Danville Health District’s Phase 1b vaccine distribution.
However, only people age 65 and older are eligible for vaccination.
In addition, since the vaccine required two doses be administered at least 28 days apart, officials say another clinic will be held at a later date for the second dose.
Follow these links in order to register to be vaccinated between 8 a.m. and noon or between 1 and 5 p.m. on Saturday.
