ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Alleghany County/Covington Health Department will be conducting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Tuesday afternoon at Alleghany High School.

The clinic is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25 and open for Alleghany County students over the age of 12, as well as any faculty and staff who are interested in receiving the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

A second-dose clinic will follow for those who receive the first dose. That clinic will take place Tuesday, June 15 during the same timeframe.

Students will need to have a paper copy of the consent form — courtesy of the Virginia Department of Health — signed by a parent or guardian, who does not need to be present at the clinic if the information is completed.

Information about the clinic, as well the necessary forms, have been shared to your child’s Echo account, school email account, and on the Alleghany High School website.
