1,907 new coronavirus cases, 51 new hospitalizations reported Tuesday by VDH

RICHMOND, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia health officials reported a total of 969,116 coronavirus cases and 14,710 virus-related deaths as of Tuesday, which includes 1,907 new confirmed and probable cases and 26 new confirmed and probable deaths from around the Commonwealth.

The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) confirmed 714,933 cases and 12,350 deaths are related to the virus as of Tuesday, Nov. 30. However, 254,183 cases and 2,360 deaths are still reported as “probable.”

Meanwhile, the department says the seven-day testing positivity rate for all types of COVID-19 tests has increased from 6.6 percent to 7.2 over the past 24 hours.

According to VDH’s Tuesday tally, more than 156,000 cases have been reported from the following localities in southwest and central Virginia:

  • Alleghany County: 2,266 cases (+8), 85 hospitalizations, and 83 deaths
  • Amherst County: 4,517 cases (+8), 232 hospitalizations, and 61 deaths
  • Appomattox County: 2,519 cases (+6), 123 hospitalizations, and 36 deaths
  • Bath County: 512 cases (+2), 20 hospitalizations, and 15 deaths
  • Bedford County: 10,427 cases (+26), 411 hospitalizations, and 164 deaths
  • Bland County: 1,126 cases, 51 hospitalizations, and 17 deaths
  • Botetourt County: 4,156 cases (+8), 97 hospitalizations, and 57 deaths
  • Buena Vista: 1,420 cases (+1), 33 hospitalizations, and 28 deaths
  • Campbell County: 7,598 cases (+21), 368 hospitalizations, and 147 deaths
  • Carroll County: 4,323 cases (+11), 322 hospitalizations (+1), and 105 deaths
  • Charlotte County: 1,373 cases (+4), 82 hospitalizations, and 28 deaths
  • Covington: 782 cases (+1), 33 hospitalizations, and 18 deaths
  • Craig County: 650 cases (+2), 21 hospitalizations, and 10 deaths
  • Danville: 6,482 cases (+13), 373 hospitalizations (+1), and 198 deaths
  • Floyd County: 1,554 cases (+3), 49 hospitalizations, and 32 deaths
  • Franklin County: 6,470 cases (+13)270 hospitalizations (+1), and 112 deaths
  • Galax: 1,626 cases (+9), 131 hospitalizations, and 64 deaths
  • Giles County: 2,408 cases (+8), 93 hospitalizations, and 33 deaths
  • Grayson County: 2,287 cases (+1), 144 hospitalizations, and 52 deaths
  • Halifax County: 4,120 cases (+3), 182 hospitalizations, and 114 deaths (+1)
  • Henry County: 7,046 cases (+21), 461 hospitalizations, and 174 deaths (+1)
  • Highland County: 194 cases (+2), 2 hospitalizations, and 4 deaths
  • Lexington: 1,629 cases (+2), 37 hospitalizations, and 37 deaths
  • Lynchburg: 12,017 cases (+16), 487 hospitalizations (+1), and 195 deaths
  • Martinsville: 2,218 cases (+2), 186 hospitalizations, and 92 deaths (+1)
  • Montgomery County: 12,153 cases (+14), 264 hospitalizations (+1), and 114 deaths
  • Nelson County: 1,452 cases (+3), 59 hospitalizations, and 20 deaths
  • Patrick County: 2,283 cases (+6), 137 hospitalizations, and 59 deaths
  • Pittsylvania County: 8,476 cases (+11), 383 hospitalizations (+1), and 130 deaths
  • Pulaski County: 4,413 cases (+18), 226 hospitalizations (+2), and 97 deaths (+3)
  • Radford: 3,052 cases (+3), 51 hospitalizations, and 36 deaths
  • Roanoke City: 12,851 cases (+24), 326 hospitalizations, and 257 deaths
  • Roanoke County: 12,664 cases (+49), 272 hospitalizations, and 183 deaths
  • Rockbridge County: 2,283 cases (+4), 80 hospitalizations, and 66 deaths
  • Salem: 3,762 cases (+19), 102 hospitalizations, and 69 deaths
  • Wythe County: 4,805 cases (+20), 269 hospitalizations, and 111 deaths

The department has reportedly received 39,702 total records of confirmed and probable virus-related hospitalizations around Virginia as of Tuesday, which is 51 more hospitalizations than VDH reported on Monday.
