(WFXR) — Americans’ heart health is not looking good, according to researchers.
In fact, only 20% of Americans have “excellent” heart health, 60% have hearts that are in “moderate” shape, and 20% are experiencing the more alarming “low” heart health.
Those results come after looking at things like diet, physical activity, and sleep.
Now, there’s a new roadmap to living in a heart-healthy way, which Dr. Donald Lloyd-Jones, president of the American Heart Association, discussed during his live interview on “WFXR News at Noon.”
Lloyd-Jones also reminds people that the AHA has a tool called My Life Check, which helps you keep track of how your lifestyle is impacting your heart health.
