PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. –
UPDATE JULY 24 5:50 P.M.:
The man who robbed Guns, Gear and Ammo in Cascade early Sunday morning is in custody.
Investigators from the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office travel to the state Wednesday morning to continue their investigation.
Aaron Ramsey, Jr. was taken into custody in Durham, NC. after a warrant for Breaking and Entering was issued. Ramsey is being held in NC and is facing various charges in their jurisdiction as well.
Surveillance cameras caught a man who broke into a gun business but took off empty handed.
Deputies in Pittsylvania County said they responded to an alarm at Guns, Gear and Ammo in Cascade early Sunday morning.
The Sheriff’s Office said the business was clearly broken into but nothing was stolen.

STATEMENT FROM PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE:
During the early morning hours of July 21, 2019, the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office received and alarm at the business of Guns, Gear and Ammo located at 13728 Martinsville Hwy, Cascade, Va. Upon arrival, Deputies and Investigators
found that the store had been broken into but nothing was taken. Upon review of security footage, a small 4 door vehicle can be seen pulling into the parking lot of the facility, a subject exiting the vehicle and uses a portable cutting tool to cut the locks
on the door of the building. Once entry is made into the store, the suspect breaks a glass case but nothing is taken from the business. The vehicle had a passenger’s side front fender that was a different color from the rest of the vehicle and was also missing
a hubcap on the front driver’s side of the vehicle. If anyone can identify the person in the video or the vehicle, you are asked to call the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office Crimestoppers at 1-800-791-0044. You could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
