SALEM, Va. (WFXR) — Children in Salem got a special chance to visit with Santa Claus in a socially distanced manner the past few days, and they still have that chance on Wednesday.
Instead of sitting on his knee to take a picture, the kids get to stand in front of a plastic bubble while Santa greets them from inside.
The event is being held at CommUNITY Church in Salem.
The church also gives each child a goodie bag to take home with them afterward.
“To see kids come in and have a smile on their face light up, it’s just a semblance of normality that we are just thrilled we can bring back to this community,” said ‘McCracken Claus.’
If you missed Santa in a Bubble earlier in the week, no worries. Santa will be in Salem from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, and you can take a picture with him then.
