DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – God’s Pit Crew staff and volunteers will be handing out 30-pound food boxes on Wednesday at the Martinsville Speedway.

This is the second time that God’s Pit Crew has teamed with the Speedway on a food distribution event this year.

The boxes will contain bread, canned goods, cereal, a Bible, a devotional, and other items.

The community is invited to pick up one box of food per family along with a case of Gatorade at this drive-through event with a maximum of two boxes per car.

A representative must be present from each family.

Those interested in taking part in this food distribution event will need to visit the Martinsville Speedway on Wednesday, Oct. 27 between 2 and 6 p.m.

You are asked to turn onto Industrial Park Road off Route 220 Business, then turn right onto Clover Road and follow the signs to Parking Lot 12.

“We’re excited to provide these food boxes to those in need in our community. We’re grateful to the Martinsville Speedway for hosting this food distribution and to our wonderful volunteers and donors for making this event possible.”

Julie Burnett, God’s Pit Crew Blessing Bucket Program Director
