“Chillin’ Ice Doin’ Nice”: Roanoke business serves frozen treats for a good cause

Good News

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — With the warmer, summerlike weather around the Roanoke Valley lately, it’s the perfect time to grab a snow cone! One local business is not only offering cool treats for customers, but also using the money to benefit non-profits in the area.

WFXR’s Hazelmarie Anderson joined the co-owners of Chillin’ Shaved Ice, Andrew Beltram and Melanie Crovo, to learn about their program to help raise funds for Roanoke non-profits each week.

One of those organizations is The Least of These, which will receive 100 percent of Chillin’ Shaved Ice’s tips and 10 percent of the profits for Wednesday, June 9.
