BLUE RIDGE, Va. (WFXR) — Not all superheroes wear capes, as proven in a candid shot of a school resource officer in Blue Ridge laying on the floor to cheer up a student having a a bad day.

A Facebook post by Colonial Elementary School on Thursday, Feb. 25 indicates a student was having a rough morning, so Deputy Morris joined the student on the floor until the student felt better.

“Everybody needs a School Resource Officer who cares enough to chill with you for a while when you’ve had a rough start to your day. Thank you Deputy Morris. We really appreciate you,” Colonial Elementary School said. “Thanks to you, even when our kiddos have a rough beginning, they end up having a great day!”
