ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A Chick-Fil-A in Roanoke County is putting on a show to go with the dinners their customers pick up.
The restaurant chain’s Bonsack location put up a 55,000 Christmas light show.
Store Marketing Director, Jourdan Markey, says this has been her idea going on four years.
She’s glad it was in 2020 that the idea became a reality, as the year has been a hard time for many, and says the Christmas cheer goes much further for customers.
“It’s been really special to see how it’s affected people,” Markey said. “We had someone here yesterday that was crying after they saw them. So it’s really special to see how much people are loving it.”
Customers in the drive thru, throughout the dinner rush, say the restaurant looks eerily similar to the Griswold home in National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and it’s a pretty spot-on comparison.
