Former Fiji Island Restaurant sold


ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Waldvogel Commercial Properties, Inc. announced the sale of a former restaurant in Roanoke.

Fiji Island restaurant was purchased by James Dixon, of Mishap Games. The restaurant was in operation for more than 40 years, and sold Chinese-Polynesian dishes.

Mishap Games is a tabletop game store, located on Orange Avenue near Bratcher’s Ice Cream and Bounce, with board games, role-playing games, miniature games and collectible card games.

With the new 11,500 square foot space, the game shop plans to open a retail store with a bar serving beer and wine. There will also be a kitchen with a full menu for customers to eat while playing games.

According to the business’ website, they will offer 16 total miniature tables, while board and card games will see the largest increase in table availability.

The new store will have a post apocalypse theme.

Mishap Games expects to open its doors to its new location in the Spring of 2020.
