Final Car-B-Que of the season coming to Virginia Museum of Transportation

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – The last Car-B-Que of the season takes place at the Virginia Museum of Transportation this Friday, August 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The event will feature an array of classic automobiles as well as live music from Flashback, a four-man group playing music from The Beatles, The Police, Hall & Oates and much more.

Craft Beer by Starr Hill Roanoke Pilot Brewery will serve up crafts.

Brother Jake’s Brick Oven Food Truck from Bedford will also be on-hand serving up pizza, burgers, pasta and more.

Also, Mr. Peanut and the Planters NUTmobile will make a special appearance. Fans can take a photo with the 26-foot-long peanut on wheels as well as play games to win fun samples. There is no charge to come see Mr. Peanut and the NUTmobile.

Classic car drivers get into the event free. Admission is $5 for those age 13 and up, $3 for kids age 3-12 and kids 2 and under get in free.
