Police continue to investigate the death of a man who was struck by a vehicle on Oct. 4.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia State Police say a crash early Saturday morning has left a man dead.

State Police report a 2006 Scion TC was traveling south on Route 220 in Franklin County when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned several times. The crash happened a little after 2 a.m.

The driver, David Clifton Lindsey, 20, of Floyd, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt. Virginia State Police say a passenger was transported to a Franklin County hospital by family before being transferred to Memorial Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation. Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team is assisting in this investigation.
