RADFORD, Va. (WFXR) — Cybersecurity is talked about frequently and Radford University can now say its cybersecurity program is globally accredited.

The accreditation was given by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc (ABET). Radford says ABET assured that their program met standards to produce graduates that are ready to enter a critical and technical field as well as anticipate the welfare and safety needs of the public.

“This accreditation of our Bachelor of Science in cybersecurity validates the content and rigor of our program. I am proud of the work our faculty in the cybersecurity area have put into creating and teaching this program. I look forward to seeing what our graduates accomplish as they make their mark on the field,” said Radford School of Computing and Information Science Director Dr. Arthur Carter.

The university says the accreditation is sought worldwide and adds critical value to academic programs in technical disciplines.
