Bedford County Schools outline plans for graduation ceremonies



BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Bedford County Public Schools issued guidance regarding three upcoming graduation ceremonies, which will take place on Saturday, May 29, rain or shine.

Each ceremony will occur at Williams Stadium on the campus of Liberty University. The following schools will have graduation at the following times:

Liberty High School9:00 a.m.
Staunton River High School12:00 p.m.
Jefferson Forest High School5:00 p.m.

Bedford County Public Schools say each graduate will get 10 guest tickets, which must be presented to gain entry into the graduation.

Ticket distribution will be announced by Monday, May 3.

Each ceremony will be live-streamed — the link to which will be posted on the district’s Facebook page.

Guests will be asked to take their seats in the reserved seating area provided by Liberty University. Once the ceremony has concluded, guests will be asked to exit the stadium ahead of the next ceremony.

Parking details will also be announced at a later date.

Guests will be required to wear a face mask while at the ceremony.
