Disaster deadline for non-profit organizations approaching


ROANOKE, Va (WFXR) – This reminder to all private non-profit organizations in our area…a big deadline is coming up.

If your organization suffered damage last year from Tropical Storm Michael between October 9-16, you need to submit your economic injury disaster loan application to the U.S. Small Business Administration by September 18.

Certain private non-profits are eligible for low-interest loans.

These could bee food kitchens, homeless shelters, museums, community centers and more.

There is a long list of the counties and cities in our area that are eligible including Appomattox, Campbell, City of Danville, Floyd, Franklin, City of Galax, Grayson, Halifax, Montgomery, Pittsylvania and Roanoke Counties.

Disaster loan information and application forms may be obtained by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955. DHH phone number is 800-877-8339 or by email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
