ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – As travels begin to rebound following the pandemic, there is no better time to treat yourself and your family to some much-needed rest and relaxation.
Travel expert and author Lee Abbamonte is one of the world’s most-traveled people. He is the youngest person to visit every country in the world, plus the North Pole and the South Pole. He gives this advice to others wanting to travel the world on a budget: “I recommend planning ahead and looking around for good deals. And if you’re interested in doing a cruise, I recommend checking out the Holland America line because they have an Alaska up-close experience that has pre- and post-holiday deals, like their ‘Wave’ deal which offers 30 percent off.”
Abbamonte said taking a cruise allows travelers to explore global destinations without taking international flights. He said cruising takes away the stress of planning and logistics and offers the best touring options and amenities for every traveler.
“There’s a huge demand for Alaska. It’s a huge bucket list item and it’s a lot closer than people realize,” Abbamonte said. “So it’s close, it’s amazing, and I’m telling you it’s one of the top three most beautiful places in the world. I’ve been up there four times and I can’t wait to get back again.”
