Cyclist pedals around the country for cancer awareness

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Flynn Donoho and his dog are bicycling around the country in an effort to fight cancer.

Donoho was once homeless, addicted and living in California, but he knew many people affected by cancer.

One day, he decided to hop on his bike to help.

That was in 2011 and he hasn’t stopped since.

This is his second trip around the lower-48 and has no idea how much money he has raised over the years.

“Everybody’s amazed. The Bible says to help people without expecting anything in return. Just help people, so I decided to help people with cancer.”

His hopes are for everyone to log onto his Crowdrise website and make a donation to the American Cancer Society or maybe even start up your own fundraiser.

Donoho says he has ridden through all sorts of weather, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, snowstorms and more and he has no idea how long his journey will continue.
