(WFXR) — T-Mobile once again the target of a data breach, after a massive cyber-attack that struck in August.
This time T-Mobile reported that the attackers accessed an unknown number of customer accounts on Monday, Dec. 27. They used what’s called a SIM swapping scheme, a type of attack that bypasses two-factor authentication.
T-Mobile says that they took immediate steps to help those at risk, but customers’ names, accounts, and other personal information were exposed.
WFXR News’ Kathlynn Stone spoke with WFXR News’ Digital Executive Producer Kim Yonick about the cyber attack and how to protect your personal and financial information.
