Police investigate suspicious object near Pentagon, no threat to building or surrounding area

ARLINGTON, Va. (WFXR) — An early morning threat had the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) Police called out to the Pentagon for a suspicious object. Police are now trying to figure out who left the object.

A PFPA police unit was called out to the South parking at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 12. When they arrived on the scene they found a suspicious object. Police blocked off the area to cars and people as they investigated.

Then around 7:35 a.m., police gave the all-clear and opened traffic up. The police unit say there was no threat to the Pentagon and surrounding area.

This case remains under investigation.
