UPDATE 4:50 p.m. (6/10/2022) — Roanoke Police identified the man who was found dead in northwest Roanoke early Thursday morning.
Police say 23-year-old Chris L. Graves of Roanoke was shot and killed around midnight on Thursday, June 9 in the 700 block of Hunt Avenue NW.
The shooting remains under investigation.

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Police say that a man was found dead overnight in northwest Roanoke.
The shooting was reported at approximately midnight on Thursday, June 9 in the 700 block of Hunt Avenue NW, according to the Roanoke Police Department. When police arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound in the parking lot. Roanoke Fire-EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Police say no arrests have been made in this ongoing homicide investigation.
