HENRY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Deputies with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a robbery that took place Sunday night.
According to the sheriff’s office, the incident occurred at Dodge’s Store at 5643 Virginia Avenue in Bassett around 10 p.m.
They say the suspect, identified as Eric Dwayne Swain Jr., 21, of Roanoke, entered the store and placed a food order.
As the clerk prepared his order, Swain was said to have produced a firearm and pointed it at the clerk.
Swain reportedly took the food and left the scene.
He has been charged with robbery and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Swain was later arrested in Greensboro, North Carolina on unrelated felony charges. He will be extradited to Virginia to face outstanding charges in Henry County as well as Roanoke.
