BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Authorities are currently searching for two men — one of whom has yet to be identified — in connection with an armed robbery at a Bedford County home early Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, Aug. 9, the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the 3800 block of Tolers Ferry Road in Huddleston for a report of a “home invasion/armed robbery.”
Authorities say the victims told them that Travis Ray Asbury came to the home with an unknown man. The men reportedly pulled out a handgun, hit one of the victims over the head, tied up a second victim, and stole electronics and a handgun.
Officials tell WFXR News they have obtained multiple felony warrants in connection with this investigation.
While authorities are still trying to identify the second man, the sheriff’s office says that Asbury may be staying in the Roanoke area.
If you have any information about Asbury’s whereabouts and/or the identity and location of the unknown individual, you are asked to call Investigator Burnette at 540-586-4800, dispatch at 540-586-7827, or Central Virginia Crime Stoppers at 1-888-798-5900.
