BLACKSBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Inflation showing some signs of slowing down for the first time since August.

Consumer prices jumped 8.3% in April, which is still below the 40-year record high back in March. Some of the biggest increases were fueled by spiking prices for airline tickets, hotel rooms, and new cars.

WFXR News’ Amanda Kenney spoke with David Bieri, associate professor of public policy at Virginia Tech, about inflation numbers and if the nation has already peaked on “WFXR News at Noon.”
