Botetourt Fire respond to early morning house fire

Botetourt County, VA (WFXR) — Crews responded to a house fire in Botetourt County on Arthur Road.

According to Fire Chief Jason Ferguson, the call came out just after 2 A.M. The caller said they could see visible smoke and flames in the back of the house.

Luckily no one was home at the time. It is a rental property, but there had been no tenants in the home for a week.

There is no word yet on where the fire started or what caused the fire. A fire investigator was on scene.

This is an ongoing investigation.
