BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Botetourt County Fire Department reported they responded to a structure fire on Sunday, Oct. 8.
According to the fire department, crews were dispatched to the 500 block of Trebark Road in Buchanan for a reported structure fire at around 9:20 p.m. The first units to arrive found a single-story home heavily engulfed in flames. Crews were able to get the fire under control within the first 15 minutes.
Botetourt County Fire says the fire was caused by combustible materials being too close to a wood stove.
The fire department operated on the scene for just over two hours, however, they say the home is a total loss.
All occupants were reported to be out of the house and there were no injuries reported.
